Marketing that knows the ledger: campaigns grounded in real customer data

Marketing tools know a lot about what people click. They track email opens, landing-page visits, form fills and ad impressions. What they do not know is what the customer actually bought, how much they spent, whether they paid on time, and what their margin looks like. That information sits in the ERP, behind a wall.

Kinnow removes the wall. Because the marketing application and the accounts live in the same system, a campaign can target customers based on real business data - not just what they did on a website.

Customer groups built on what they bought

In a standalone marketing tool, a customer group might be "people who visited the pricing page." In Kinnow, a customer group can be "customers who bought more than five lakhs last quarter, have no overdue invoices, and have not placed an order in the past 45 days." That group is built from the sales records, the receivables and the order history - live data, not a stale export.

This matters because the group is honest. A customer who clicked on an email is not necessarily a good customer. A customer who bought consistently and paid on time is. When marketing knows the accounts, it targets the customers worth keeping and re-engaging, not just the ones who opened a newsletter.

Campaigns that respect the relationship

One of the most common mistakes in B2B marketing is sending a promotional email to a customer who has an unresolved dispute or an overdue payment. The marketing team does not know about the dispute because it lives in the ERP, not in the marketing tool. In Kinnow, an agent checks the customer's status before the campaign goes out. If there is an open dispute, a credit hold or a large overdue amount, the customer is left out automatically. The sales team is not embarrassed, and the customer is not annoyed.

Knowing which campaign earned the money

In most marketing setups, credit for a sale is a rough guess. A lead came from a webinar, moved through the sales stages and - at some point - became a customer. The revenue is credited to the campaign in the CRM, but the actual invoice amount, the margin and the time taken to collect are in the ERP. In Kinnow, the two are joined up. A campaign's return is worked out from actual invoiced revenue and actual cash received, not from estimates at each deal stage in the CRM.

This changes the conversation between marketing and finance. Instead of "we generated 200 leads," marketing can say "the September campaign produced twelve invoiced customers totalling eighteen lakhs in revenue, of which fourteen lakhs has been collected." That is a number the CFO takes seriously.

What the agents add

Kinnow's marketing agents work from the combined records. A Reactivation agent identifies customers whose order frequency has dropped - not from email engagement, but from actual purchase history. A Buying-Pattern agent spots customers who usually reorder every six weeks and flags them when that time has passed. A Campaign Performance agent reads the results not from click-through rates alone, but from the revenue and collections that followed.

When marketing knows the accounts, it stops guessing and starts reading the business.

Frequently asked questions

Does Kinnow replace our marketing automation platform?

It can. Kinnow's marketing application handles email campaigns, customer groups, templates and scheduling. The difference is that customer groups are built from transaction data, not just web behaviour.

Can we still integrate with an external marketing tool?

Yes. Kinnow can link to other software through an API. If you prefer to keep your existing tool for sending, you can pass it customer groups built from your accounts.

How does Kinnow avoid emailing customers with disputes?

An agent checks each customer's status - overdue amount, open disputes, credit hold - before the campaign sends. Customers with unresolved issues are left out automatically, and this is recorded.

Is a campaign's return worked out on invoiced or collected revenue?

Both. Kinnow follows a sale from campaign to lead to order to invoice to payment. You can see the return at any of those stages.

Tell Kinnow what slows you down.

Tell us in a sentence. Kinnow drafts a starting plan and a person follows up.
